Orka Village Hisarönü

After seeing the previous review it complelled me to write this (which I dont normally do). My husband & I come to hisonarou every year & stay in private apartments close to Orka Village. Saw a week at Orka Village b & b for £274pp. Not expecting much it supassed all expectations. We like a very quiet holiday during the day. We had NO PROBLEM getting sunbeds by quiet pool even at miday. Ok there was music etc at main pool but does not impact the quiet pool. Room overlooking play area so quiet didnt even know there was anyone else either side until seeing them on their balconies. Cleanliness was fabulous standard of large double room was great. Food/drink at bar was reasonably priced & of a good standard. Although this hotel was not are usual go to we could not fault the standards for the price. Would not hesitate to return if a good deal came up again. Give it a go you may be pleasantly suprised.

We have just got back from another amazing stay at Orka Village and had to share how great it was! One of the biggest highlights was the entertainment team. For those of you who have stayed before, Charlie and his team are back. They brought so much energy, positivity, and fun every single day. There is a kids’ club ran by the reps, water slides and throughout the day starting from 10:30 there is activties like darts, water‑polo, volley and football.—lots to keep kids busy and adults too. The hotel is in a great location and is a short 5-10 minutes walk into the town. I find this hotel is great for families. The rooms are spacious family rooms (up to 6 adults) with 2–3 bedrooms. Buffet-style breakfast & dinner are fab with the huge variety. At breakfast there is also an omelette station and in the evenings Wednesday and Saturday is BBQ nights, other days it's themed meals. Rooms and the area of hotel is kept clean and the housekeepers (bless them) do work to make sure its to Standard with regular sheets and towel changes. I do feel the rooms could do with a little maintenance. They are looking old. This year has been the worst year with the bar staff and waiters. Yes they can be nice and friendly, however since it changed to Orka I have picked up that hardly any staff come around the pool asking if you need anything, but this year I had to go to the bar for food and drinks, our tables were never cleared. I'm supposed to be on a relaxing holiday but doing everything myself. It was so much better with the pool area staff when it was liberty you was always seeing them walking around.

My expectations were low due to the price we paid for this hotel but I was surprisingly pleased. The hotel was extremely clean, the pool areas were lovely and we spent most of our time around the "quiet" pool. Breakfast was until 10am and there was ample choice. We had dinner one night too at the hotel which was delicious. The hotel is a short walk away from the main strip 6 minutes maybe. Rooms cleaned to a good standard daily. Bar is cheaper than the shop for water etc. Good sunbeds and was always enough for the time we went without having to get up at 8a.. Negatives Quiet pool needs to be managed to ensure guests are being respectful more. Our key card didnt work for 24 hours and until I started getting grumpy about it it felt like there was no hurry to fix it. Would definitely return if the price was the same.

The staff is really amazing during the day and night the entertainment team Charlie ramazan are very good people you could not get any better food for lunch breakfast and dinner and the shows at night get better and better every night 👍

We stayed at Orka Village in Hisarönü and absolutely loved it. The staff were fantastic, the food was excellent with loads of choice, and our room was always spotless. We relaxed by the quiet pool all week — lovely atmosphere and friendly guests, aside from a few who weren’t happy about kids making noise. Honestly, if peace and quiet is that important, they’d be better off booking an adults-only hotel instead of creating bigger disturbances by shouting at families and pointing fingers. The location is great — just a short walk into the centre and taxis are super quick if you want to go further. We didn’t expect much when we booked, but we were blown away. Already looking forward to our next visit!

This was my second time at orka village, I visited the same time last year but unfortunately this time my experience wasn't as good and am unsure if I would return again. Firstly an electric shaver and some money went missing from my room. Hotel won't do anything as they expect you to pay at for a safe (why would you put an electric shaver in a safe anyway) was a brand new one too so that was very disappointing. Also one day I returned to my room and all the maid had done was taken the sheet off my duvet, they hadn't out a new one on so I was left with a duvet with no cover on it folded up on the bed. My toilet leaked and had to hear the water dripping all night and also the extractor fan in thr bathroom was very loud and sounded like a running engine anytime we had it on. I requested a room with double bed but was given two singles and I had to push them together and rearrange the room and sleep with a gap in the middle for a week, didn't get one good sleep. Another issue with the room is the bright light that comes off the TV and the button where you tell the maid if you want the room cleaning or not. I need complete dark and this isn't ideal at all. I also had no iron in the room. The slides run very slowly, especially the bendy one which had very slow running water and you actually stop half way down it's that slow. Another issue is the pools, the spaces get filled up very fast, and some days me and my son were forced to go and stay in the smaller quieter pool as that was the only place with spaces. Me and my son and other kids were in the smaller pool and no kids were being overly loud or rowdy, we got some dirty looks off older self entitled visitors to the hotel and had a few Karen's moaning about children being in the quieter pool. The kids that were in the pool were all 9 and under from what I saw and none of them were causing a nuisance yet there's always moaners. Some kids don't like busy, loud areas and prefer the smaller quieter pool yet some moody visitors really seemed to have an issue with this pulling faces. I saw one old women giving a kid dirty looks and telling him to shush. A women came over to me and told me it was the "adults only" pool. I asked her to show me where it says "adults only" it doesn't. It says quiet pool. And in my opinion no kids were being over the top in there at all. If people don't want to be near kids then they should pay the money to go to an adult only hotel. The orka village needs to clarify this situation as it seemed to cause a bit of a stir during my stay. Also one day during my stay, some scumbags tried to steal my sons inflatable and beach ball. We went for something to eat and we came back and they were gone. We finally saw someone with them in the pool bar, the exact inflatable and beachball, what are the odds. I went over to the and they had the cheek to claim that they owned them. I just grabbed them and took them and none of them said anything, which says it all. The hotel was full of Engli
